In keeping with its extraordinary city, the Hôtel Plaza Athénée is no ordinary hotel. Here on the prestigious street Montaigne, a tree-lined avenue of French fashion, the hotel is proud to offer its guests the best of Paris.
Fashionable location The Hôtel Plaza Athénée sits proudly on the city's famous couture street, surrounded by some of the world's most luxurious fashion brands. Over the decades, this area has inspired artists and provided designers with an elegant piece of art for their extraordinary craftsmanship. On our doorstep you will find all the famous boutiques including Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada.
Designed by renowned architect Charles Lefebvre, the Hôtel Plaza Athénée officially opened its doors on April 20, 1913. Crafted in the distinctive Parisian Haussmann architectural style, our classic cut stone facades are decorated with beautifully ornate wrought iron balconies.
Entwined with our own history is the history of our next door neighbor, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, which first opened just weeks after the hotel. It soon became a popular venue for composers and theater goers, who regularly had dinner with us after a night at the theater.
Back in 1946, Christian Dior opened his first boutique on avenue Montaigne, inspired by an idea to attract our elegant guests. In honor of his love for hotels, his collection includes creations called Plaza and Athénée. The legendary Dior Bar suit is even inspired by the beautiful women who frequent our bar. Continuing this long relationship, our spa is the Dior Institut decorated with fashion sketches by Christian Dior and photos of his fashion photo shoots at the hotel.
All of our beautifully designed rooms and suites are designed to offer the same feeling as Haute Couture creations. We have personally selected the best fabrics and furnishings to offer you a truly better experience. Our Haute Couture Eiffel suite is dedicated to Dior, something that is reflected in his signature grays and pinks. Fine details such as a mannequin, a Dior book, and a chocolate snack in a fashionable form all add to its unique appeal.
Hotel Plazza Athenee is the only luxury hotel in Paris that combines two styles of decoration, namely Parisian as in the era of Louis XIV and modern Art Deco.
The interior is decorated with classic and art deco nuances. It is on the 3rd and 8th floor of this hotel. Upon entering the Eiffel Suite 361 which is inspired by the Paris of Baron Haussmann in the XIX century, guests are greeted by a large lounge with a palette of pink, pearl gray and silver interiors. All combined with silk window coverings.
The dominant color in this hotel is red, especially on the exterior, but the unique blend of colors creates a look like no other. Meanwhile, the Eiffel Suite 878, which consists of a bedroom, bathroom, lounge, bar and spacious dining room, is equally attractive. This suite looks stylish with a bathroom interior consisting of rosewood, ebony and mahogany.
The art deco rug combines with the silk window coverings embroidered by Jean-François Lesage. The ornament is still no less beautiful than the 180-degree view of the city of Paris and especially the Eiffel Tower which can be seen from here. The glass wall in the bathroom that previously provided privacy for guests can actually be transformed into a view of the Eiffel tower.
A hotel with classic Parisian romantic nuances in a city of million stories that can give you an unforgettable experience.
